Universal Primer
Primer for PET films
Our Universal Primer has adhesion on many kind of base materials like PET, PP, PE and Metal surfaces.
These primers impart good adhesion to the films as well as excellent adhesion for over coatings on these primed films.
They are good for various printing applications.
The coated films keep high surface dyne value for longer periods so that the printnability and coatability are good for longer storage
Higher surface charge can be achieved by addition of our superdyne additives
primed films are low in static level as they have static control agents. additional static control is possible by addition of “Opalpas -1040” or similar anionic antistatic agents
Urethane acrylic and pure acrylic based primers are designed for improving adhesion of coatings and films on PP and PET films.
These primers are also compatible with other additives for improved adhesion, clarity, matting, surface dyne etc.
urethane and urethane acrylics are not compatible with antistatic agents like Opalpas 1040. But they have inbuilt antistatic agents to control static in an atmosphere above 55% humidity for further coatings
in some cases primers are also used as masking coatings where multiple layers are required
